Space and motion

In the image above this shows aerial perspective. The shot is taken above Spiderman looking down on him while he climbs up the building. You see the buildings below him look smaller.
Forest Gump is shown here anticipating motion. The way his arms are positioned and the way his legs are bent it shows anticipated motion of running.
This image shows blurred outlines. The two people that are blurred show they are making some sort of motion, walking or just moving in general. It is able to stand out better because of the girl standing still is in clear focus.
Exaggerated size is illustrated in the image above. It shows the size of a regular sized man in comparison to the giant.
Repeated image showing motion as well as the centralized character shows motion. You can see the agents running towards the main character.
This image is a little hard to make out but it is a scene from the Harry Potter movies. This shows linear perspective. The lines are parallel and shows a vanishing point at the end of the hall.

Rhythm

I chose an earthquake reading because I think this invokes noise. The image above represents crackling.
This image I used to represent crisp lines.
The image above represents harsh dark image.
This image is representing jumpy. All the lines are not clear.
For my fifth design I chose noise again. It is alternating rhythm as well. I think with the wavy lines create a sense of noise. It is alternating because if the design continues you would know what shapes and where they would be placed would come next.

Revised scale assignment

Balance

I had a little bit of trouble with this because I think I used the wrong type of paper. For both parts I used a knife, spatula, and a hammer.I like how the first part turned out I think it is a neat type of balance. The second has a nice balance as well that looks more obvious to me.

Scale and proportion

I chose pugs for this scale and proportion assignment. I think that pugs come in all shapes and different sizes which is shown in the collage above. You can see some are tiny, medium, and large. Some you can tell the shear size of them because of the objects they are near or standing next to or sitting on. Either puppies or full adults you won't find two pugs the same size. I think pugs are a good example of scale and different proportions.

Emphasis and focal point

Above is the original image. This is my example of contrast. The glass of milk really stands out as a focal point because of it being the color white along with the background being very dark.
This is my example of isolation focal point. The person in the middle is isolated from any other part of the image so they really stand out. Even though the image is dark and the person is wearing black they still stand out because of the way they are placed and the buildings that surround them.
This is an example of no focal point. It is just repetitive bricks there is not one element that sticks out from the image.
One element example. The disco ball is the one element in this image that really sticks out as the focal point. Even though the background is really busy the disco ball sticks out because of its color and size and also placement.
Placement example. I think the camera sticks out because the way it was placed and also it has contrasting elements too. It was places to the left side of the image and the reason that makes it stand out is because the right side is darker and the left lighter.

Unity

This is an example of chaotic unity. The lines and the color makes it unified but it is scribbled into one image which makes it chaotic.
This is an example of continuation. This has a line that makes your eye move in one direction. You could say that the continuation is a little bit in both directions, vertically and horizontally.
Its hard to see in this image but I am sure many of seen this image before. This is my example of figurative unity. It consists of dots creating the image which makes the artwork.
This is a grid example. I find that websites have the best examples of grid composition. The way the images are placed creates unity.

This is an example of non-object repetition. This creates unity through circles and the colors create a variety.
This is an example of proximity. This creates unity because they are close together. Separately they wouldn't create a unified look.

This is an example of repetition on variety. The windows are all different shapes, sizes, and colors but create a unified look.
When I think of unity I think of Andy Warhol. This is my example of repetition with similarity. All four images are the same which creates the repetition and the only difference is the colors.

Ideal 2D Design

Here is an image of my ideal 2D design. I think it is an interesting piece and I like how it has two different aspects that to it but they tie into each other. A simple piece but I think well thought out and creative.
